Hiring temporary staffs for business is never a good idea for the success of any business. They bring with them a number of issues. Here are the most common issues.

Ousourcing vs temp staffing
In order to meet certain business requirements, businesses often consider hiring temp agency. But is this really a good solution when it comes to the question of success? Earlier experiences shared by various businesses are not indicating the same. There are a number of issues of hiring temporary staffs.

Lack of training

This is an era of specialization and it is applicable in the professional world as well. Hiring temporary staffs in the business can never be the solution of this problem. Even though they are all trained but it is not necessary that they are specialized for any particular job. So companies must arrange for training.

Lack of professionalism

This is a serious issue that is experienced with the temporary staffs. Since they know that they have been hired for a temporary period, they often don’t indulge them in the job completely. So, there is always a question mark with the professionalism of the temporary staff.

Lack of loyalty

Expecting loyalty from a temporary staff is next to impossible. They know well their job and they know well that they will not be treated like the permanent staffs. So, they chose to stay away from any kind of loyalty to their profession.

Ethical issues

There is always a difference of ethics between the permanent staffs and temporary staffs. Temp staffs are not always driven by the same business ethics. They uphold a more casual approach to the job which is dreadful for a company’s success.

Legal issues

There are lots of legal issues of hiring temporary staffs. Right from their wages to the behavior towards them, everything comes under the scanner of the legal system. This takes a toll on the business atmosphere.

Increased operating cost

People, who are in the impression that this will manage company’s expenses, are completely wrong. Irrespective of the number of hiring, this always cost more to the companies. The cost of training; cost of wages and there can be many more depending on the companies.

Difference in the attitude

The right attitude towards the job is one of the prime requirements which temporary staffs lack most of the time. Staffs can be groomed or trained but they cannot be taught the right attitude. And the origin of this kind of attitude is the lack of professionalism.

Difficulties with working as a team

In every business, teamwork is very important and temporary staffs lack this quality to a large extent. They always find it hard to gel with the permanent workers or the vice versa. But eventually, the business suffers because of this.

Question of trustworthiness

Can you rely on the temporary staffs blindly? There is always a problem with the trustworthiness of the temporary staffs. They can never show the same amount of dependability like the experienced staffs. And for this, they need to give time to learn things.

Lack of vision

Unlike a permanent staff, the goal of a temp staff is for short-term. And when you plan for short-term, you actually miss the bigger vision of the company. This is exactly what happens with the temporary staffs. They basically have no vision for their job.

Less interested in solving problems

Temporary staffs are not good at solving problems or they are not interested in doing that. The only aim they have is to complete the term by any means. They consider this the job of the permanent staffs.

Impact on the office atmosphere

Employing temp staffs can have a large impact in the company atmosphere. The lack of involvement of them often disturbs the permanent workers. And on the other hand, temp staffs are treated like the second class citizen.

Reluctant to take extra burden

Unlike the permanent staffs, temp staffs are less interested in taking extra burden for the businesses. They do exactly what they are paid for and nothing else.

To avoid all the hassles hire a  professional and specialized outsourcing company. This will save your effort and money both. And most importantly, you will not have to compromise with the business outcomes.

Why Use Palletize

9/3/2015

Why Palletize

1. Palletized products can be moved more quickly than by the manual handling of individual palletized cartons.

Benefits of this quicker handling include:
  • Faster turnaround of delivery vehicle and increasing operational efficiency of transport equipment
  • Quicker availability of the trailer door for the next arrival
  • Dramatically reduced labor requirement versus manual handling
  • Reduced risk of temperature abuse for perishable products on unrefrigerated docks

2. Because palletized goods require less manual handling, we expect:

Less risk of product damage

Reduced risk of worker injury

3. Palletized products can be moved more efficiently and stored more efficiently in warehouses.

4. Customers often prefer the receipt of palletized goods

5. Pallets are typically easier to handle with material handling equipment than other styles of unit load bases such as slip sheets, which may require specialized equipment.

6. Pallets provide drainage and circulation for commodities requiring this, including fresh produce.

Types of palletising

1.     Double Deep Pallet Racking

Considered by many companies as a cost effective method of bulk storage, double deep racking is not a truly selective system as access and stock rotation are compromised compared to selective pallet racking; however cube utilisation is much higher. Specially designed forklifts use a variety of double deep reach mechanisms to allow easy placement and retrieval of pallets.

Key advantages include greater use of available headroom; good access to 50% stock locations; stock rotation enabled; efficiency in operation; relatively low cost racking system; and 40% increase in storage capacity.

2.     Drive-In Pallet Racking

Drive-in pallet racks are low on cost and big on high density storage. Drive-in pallet racking is a continuous block of racking with no aisles, offering high density storage, typically for non-perishables.

Key advantages include almost twice the storage capacity over selective methods; high density storage system; relatively low capital cost in comparison with other high density solutions; used with standard forklift trucks; and working on Last In First Out (LIFO) principle.

3.     Narrow Aisle Racking

While use of narrow aisle racking systems typically increases the capital cost of the storage and materials handling equipment, this is generally offset by savings in land and building costs. A very flat floor is necessary for the safe operation of turret trucks and automatic stacker cranes.

Key advantages include high density storage up to 13 metres; good accessibility - 100% selectivity; excellent utilisation of floor space with aisles occupying not more than the pallet width; and very fast throughput capabilities.

4.     Selective Pallet Racking

One of the most common of all storage systems for palletised goods, selective pallet racking also offers extreme simplicity in terms of equipment and the most economical solution in capital costs.

Key advantages include greater use of available headroom; immediate access to any pallet; stock rotation enabled; versatile and easily configured; suitability for order picking; and efficient and economical operation.
